Now for your VPS: double the CPU for free!
As we continue adding capacity to our cloud virtualization product, ColossusCloud, we realized that we have too much unused CPU power available. Thus, we have decided to double the number of CPU cores available to most of our VPS packages!
Take a look at ColossusCloud's virtual server pricing page to see the new included CPU allocations for your Linux or Windows VPS.
How do you get these new allocations? Easy. Just reboot your virtual server from our Client Portal and the new number of CPU cores will show up when your virtual server boots back up.
Be aware that some older versions of Windows may have limitations as to how many CPU cores they can use, so you may not see the new allocation.
Changes to Microsoft's licensing for your Windows virtual server
As of January 1st, 2019, Microsoft will be implementing a number of changes to its licensing structure and rules that affect all providers of servers with Windows operating systems. Because of this, unfortunately, we can no longer include Windows in our already low prices.
Please take a look at our VPS hosting pricing page to see the new pricing for virtual servers with Windows. The new pricing will apply to existing virtual servers starting on January 15th, 2019, and for new virtual servers, starting on January 1st, 2019.
New Microsoft products!
Do you need Microsoft Office installed on your virtual server? Do you need to increase the number of simultaneous logins? How about Visio or Visual Studio?
Take a look at our new Microsoft VPS products page! If you need any of these products installed, please contact our tech team. We are licensed to offer every Microsoft product in existence!
Faster Windows virtual servers!
With new, smaller and better optimized Windows templates, your Windows virtual server will perform better than ever before! As a result, we will no longer require a minimum of 2 GBs of RAM for new Windows deployments, however, we do strongly recommend at least 4 GBs of RAM.
