Why go with a bare metal dedicated server infrastructure over the big cloud providers of the world?
Performance: the big cloud providers sell you shared resources, so you will never get the high performance per dollar ratio you would get with a bare metal dedicated server.
Cost: as an example, ten of our dual Xeon Scalable dedicated servers, at a cost of about $7,000 per month, will give you the same capacity and performance of $47,000 worth of AWS virtual servers. We actually calculated this.
Network: you get full network capacity for private network/intranet server communication. You can't get that at AWS without paying an arm, a leg and an eye.

Absolutely; speeds of up to 40gbps are available. For security reasons, any communication that should be from server to server should not go over public interfaces, but over your private network.
