ColossusCloud, ServerPoint, and A+ Hosting: how our brands fit together

We sometimes hear from customers who are unsure about the relationship between ColossusCloud, ServerPoint, and A+ Hosting. This article clears that up.

The short version

• A+ Hosting, Inc. is the corporation behind everything. It’s a Nevada corporation that owns and operates all the infrastructure, data centers, and services.
• ServerPoint.com is our main brand. ServerPoint has been providing web hosting, dedicated servers, and VPS hosting to thousands of customers for over two decades.
• ColossusCloud is the name we gave to our proprietary VPS hosting platform. It’s not a separate company. It’s the technology platform that powers all VPS services across both the ColossusCloud and ServerPoint websites.

Why two websites?

ColossusCloud started as the internal name for our VPS platform at ServerPoint. As the platform grew and became a significant part of our business, we gave it its own website at colossuscloud.com to focus specifically on VPS hosting and dedicated servers.

ServerPoint.com continues to offer the full range of hosting services, including web hosting, and also uses the ColossusCloud platform for its VPS products. If you visit serverpoint.com and look at their VPS hosting section, you’ll see the ColossusCloud name there too.

Both websites connect to the same Client Portal. Your account, VPS instances, and billing are all managed from one place regardless of which website you signed up through.

Same infrastructure, same team

Whether you found us through ColossusCloud or ServerPoint, you get:

• The same hardware with Intel Xeon and AMD processors, Ceph distributed storage, and redundant networking
• The same support team handling tickets and customer requests

There is no difference in service quality, pricing, or features between the two websites.

The corporate structure

A+ Hosting, Inc. is a Nevada corporation that operates both brands. It owns all the physical infrastructure: the servers, network equipment, storage systems, and the colocation space in each data center. When you sign up for a VPS through either website, your service agreement is with A+ Hosting, Inc.

Which website should I use?

Either one. If you’re looking specifically for VPS hosting or dedicated servers, ColossusCloud is focused on that. If you need web hosting alongside your VPS, ServerPoint.com offers both under one roof.
