Accessing your Windows remote desktop is quite easy. From your Windows computer, find an application called "Remote Desktop Connection". If you are using a Mac, just install the free "Microsoft Remote Desktop" app from the AppStore.
Once you do that, enter the username and password you set up during the deployment of your new Windows server. Within seconds, the virtual server's Windows desktop will show up. Then, just use the server as you would any other Windows operating system. Run business software, MetaTrader for Forex trading, development tools, or anything else that runs on Windows.

Windows Server 2022 is the recommended choice for new deployments. It combines improved security features, Azure hybrid integration, and mainstream support through 2031. Windows Server 2019 is equally solid for applications that prioritize proven stability over cutting-edge features.
Connect to your Windows VPS by opening Remote Desktop Connection on Windows (search in the Start menu) or installing Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Mac App Store. Enter your server's IP address and credentials. Your Windows desktop appears within seconds.
Windows Server requires a minimum of 4 GB RAM for basic workloads. For running applications via RDP with multiple users, 8 GB RAM and 4 vCPUs is the recommended starting point. Plan for at least 50 GB of disk space, since Windows Server itself uses 15 to 25 GB.

Windows Defender is active by default on every Windows VPS and requires no initial configuration. You can install third-party antivirus software alongside it. Firewall rules are manageable through the Client Portal without needing to log into the server directly.
